Where Do Baby Eagles Come From?

Online Presentation

In 2015, Michelle (and her merry bunch of raptorphiles) became curious about the reproduction schedule for our local bald eagle population, so she set herself the project of finding out exactly when things happened. That was the beginning of five years of intense observation and data recording of approximately 62 local nests in Whatcom and Skagit counties. Her presentation is the result of those years, bringing her own photos and videos of the life cycle of our national bird to you. Come see eaglets; from their fuzzy, mohawk phase through branching and fledging. Michelle’s passion is lighting fires in the eyes of young people - the next generation of scientists! Learn about the life cycle of one of our most notable (and abundant) local raptors - the bald eagle. Her presentation is suitable for all learners from 4 to 104, and if you've ever wondered what baby eagles look like - here's your chance. And bring your questions!
