Saturday, September 21: Whatcom Creek Trail to Raptor Reach
Trip Leader: Richard Carpenter
No registration required. Meet at the Maritime Heritage Center Parking Lot at 9 AM.
Join Richard to walk the Whatcom Creek Trail from the waterfront to the “Raptor Reach” area, near Woburn Street. On this surprisingly birdy trail you can expect to see ducks, chickadees, sparrows, wrens, waxwings, woodpeckers, towhees, finches, and probably some warblers and other migrants. Also there might be a raptor or two and a few surprises along this City of Bellingham trail. This can be rewarding urban birding for anyone with an interest.
