Southfork Birding Meander at Catalyst Preserve

Enjoy a relaxing morning investigating the birds and other critters on the Whatcom Land Trust's Catalyst Preserve in Acme. The Preserve includes mature riparian forests, smaller creeks, wetlands, open meadows, expansive restoration areas and an accessible reach of the South Fork Nooksack River. There is a wide variety of birds to be seen and maybe some elk. We will be walking about 3 miles, partially off trail. Wear shoes appropriate for uneven ground and possibly wet grass. Bring a lunch and dress for the weather as we will be heading out rain or shine.

Time 8:30 AM at the site, ~ 4.5 hours (directions provided after registration).
