Please come and join a friendly group birders, ranging from beginning to experienced, at Semiahmoo County Park. We will be checking out the marine habitats of Semiahmoo Bay and Dayton Harbor, the only designated Important Bird Area in Whatcom County.
We commonly find over 45 species on and along Semiahmoo during the winter. You can anticipate seeing three species of loons, up to four species of grebes, three species of gulls, several species of shorebirds, possibly two species of raptors, at least a dozen species of waterfowl and about ten species of songbirds as fell as a few others. Walking along the beaches is not difficult. Register early and hope to see you there.
