Meet at the parking lot for Tennant Lake Interpretive Center at the end of Nielsen Road.
We will explore the various habitats located at Tennant Lake and Hovander Homestead Parks. We will begin by checking out the wooded wetlands that surround the lake. It's possible that a part of the boardwalk trail will be closed for waterfowl hunting season, but we will go as far as we can. Afterwards, we can circle back to the prairie and begin a small loop that follows along the Nooksack River and the Hovander Homestead. We will end back at the parking lot where participants have the option to climb up the watchtower for better views of the surrounding area.
